Fet a mà is a wine from Monastrell representing the essence of this variety of the Alto Vinalopó and in particular the town of Salinas, where all the plots are located. Made with a Monastrell base and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon along with other varieties planted in the old vineyards of Monastrell, such as the Garnacha and Bobal. Fet a Mà is in essence a Monastrell as it was originally made although treated in a modern way. In the grape, the maximum care is taken that the skins and pips reach their optimum degree of ripening. In the elaboration, the priority is to obtain an extraction of polyphenols without forcing the wine, being respectful to the grapes. In the aging, 12 months in 500L barrels, soften and increase the volume in mouth, whilst resting.
Fet a mà is a very honest product. It is a wine with a good body and Mediterranean character where the winery makes an effort to obtain very good value for money. It is a wine that is intended for the hospitality sector that likes to take care of the product while offering it at a fair price. It is marketed with a difference of about two years between the year of sale and its vintage. Its optimum time of consumption varies between two and five years after harvest.
