VA DE BO
BOBAL RED

Va de Bo is a wine from a single
vineyard of old Bobal vines over 50
years old. The balance of the
vineyard allows a late harvest while
maintaining freshness, and its
elaboration aims to convey that
balance and complexity by seeking a
very expressive wine.
In the past, Bobal was an important
secondary variety in the upper part
of Vinalopó and today there are only
2,5 hectares left in the whole of
the Alicante PDO.
Our aim is to raise awareness of the
Bobal grape from this region. A
Bobal with a different profile,
maintaining an important freshness
and a medium-low layer, despite
being harvested late, due to its
difficulty in reaching maturity.
An expressive and at the same time
elegant wine, honouring those old
vines cared for decades and its
delicate vinification. Va de Bo is
the appropriate vindication of a
historic variety in the area that
has not been given the importance it
deserves.
It is placed in the market with a
two-year difference between its sale
and its year of vintage. Its optimum
time of consumption varies between
two and five years after harvest.
